The mother of two men charged in Sunday's fatal shooting in Ypsilanti Township is accused of helping at least one of her sons elude authorities, interfering with at least one witness and possessing a pistol after the shooting, court records show.

Tina Crockett, 37, of Ypsilanti Township, remains jailed on charges of accessory after the fact to a felony, obstruction of justice, interfering with a witness and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Her sons, 20-year-old Michael Crockett and 16-year-old Charles Pippins also remain jailed on charges including open murder in the death of 20-year-old Chris King.

King, of Ypsilanti Township, was fatally shot at 3:58 p.m. Sunday after a fight outside Kmart near the intersection of Washtenaw Avenue and Golfside Road, investigators said. According to a felony complaint filed against Tina Crockett, she had a pistol as she helped at least one of her sons elude police. It's unclear whether that pistol is tied to the shooting or whether it's been recovered.

A gun was found at the scene, but neither brother has been accused of ever possessing it and no other arrests are anticipated.

Tina Crockett is being held on $300,000 bond at Washtenaw County Jail, along with Michael Crockett, who is being held without bond. Pippins is at the county's juvenile detention center, also being held without bond. He is being prosecuted as an adult.

The brothers are expected to return to court Aug. 4 and their mother is due back Aug. 11, records show.
