Michigan State Police investigating reports of shots fired at multiple vehicles
Michigan State Police troopers are investigating reports of shots being fired at multiple vehicles in the Manchester area Monday evening, officials confirmed Tuesday.
Sgt. Mike Garland said troopers took the reports about the shots about 6 p.m. Monday in the area between Manchester and Saline. Garland said more information was not available Tuesday morning.
It’s unclear at this point if more information will be released Tuesday. State police could not immediately reach detectives in the case to provide more information.
No injuries have been reported in the cases and initial information from Monday evening indicated a green vehicle might have been involved in the shootings.
Garland encouraged anyone who has information about the incidents to call the Michigan State Police Brighton Post at (810) 227-1051.

State police could not immediately reach detectives in the case to provide more information. I guess the batteries are dead on their phones and radio's. Seems they could give more info they just choose not to.

The area between Manchester and Saline is pretty big....can they be more specific? It would be nice to know what roads to avoid.

This is a little scary because I live in this area. I also know someone with a green Cavalier. Probably not the same one but I certainly wish we could have more information if there is some to give. Thank you for reporting on this.

I've heard they occurred at Pleasant Lake Rd near Schneider, Austin Rd. near Ernst and US-12 near State St. Shooter supposedly in a green Cavalier.

Concerned - Unconfirmed at this point, but what I've been told by some readers who wrote in to me was Austin near Ernst and Old US 12 near State.

What kind of gun was it? How did they get it? Every article that involves guns should answer these questions so us commenters know how best to spin it into an excuse to take everyone's guns away so our children can live in a peaceful world where all violence has been eradicated.

I highly doubt they know what sort of gun was involved yet. Usually you need to find the criminal before you find the weapon. Even if they know the caliber, a .45 for example could just as easily have come from a carbine as a handgun, so that doesn't even solve the mystery.

I agree dsponini.....I'm a gun owner and I can't even stomach the NRA's rhetoric. It's amazing how little ammo is even on store shelfs at this point. All the NRA has to do is say that the democrats are coming after your guns and people run out and buy all the guns and ammo they can. I remember the NRA doing the same thing when Clinton was in office. The gun and ammo manufacturers have got to love it, the NRA helping their bottom line.

Settle down. Obama is not coming for your guns...no matter what rhetoric the NRA wants to puke out..
