Details were sparse in the minutes after the robbery, and Schick said detectives were at the bank processing the scene.

Police said a lone suspect entered the bank and showed a handgun. He took cash from two employees and left the area, getting into a silver Malibu in which another man was waiting.

Police have searched the area but have not been able to locate the men.

The robber is described as a black man, 20-30 years old, 5-feet-9 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing latex gloves, black jeans, a gold or yellow hooded sweatshirt with writing on the front and a bandana covering his face below his eyes. The bandana was described as blue with a white design.

He carried a black bag and a dark colored hand gun. Police said he left with the other man in a newer model silver Chevrolet Malibu.
