Ann Arbor police: Intruder punches man in face
An 18-year-old Ann Arbor man was punched in the face when he surprised two thieves in his garage early Saturday morning, police said.
The man was returning to his home in the 2600 block of Miller Avenue just before 1:55 a.m. when he noticed his garage door open, Ann Arbor police Lt. Renee Bush said.
Two suspects the resident did not know were inside the garage. Accompanied by a friend, he confronted them, police said in a news release.
There was a struggle and the 18-year-old was punched in the face, after which the suspects fled, police said. Nothing was stolen from the garage.
The victim told police one of the suspects is an Asian man with a black crewcut and brown eyes. He said the other person was about 15 years old with a heavy build. He was not able to determine the sex of the intruder but said he or she was about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighed about 210 pounds. If caught, the suspects could face home invasion and assault charges. Police continue to investigate.

Is "garage" a euphemism for something? since junk is often stored in garages, maybe 'junk' would be a more appropriate word.

Hi UpperDecker: I think you are referring to Quang Nguyen, who is currently in custody. He was recently sentenced 4-15 years in state prison. A story with more details on that should be published soon.
