An 18-year-old man was arrested for operating while intoxicated after being involved in a single-car accident at North Huron River Drive and Oakwood Street at 8:40 p.m. Saturday.

Ypsilanti police were dispatched to the scene where Eastern Michigan University police already had the suspect in custody, said Sgt. Brent Yuchasz.

“He was arrested and brought back for booking and released after ... he was sober,” Yuchasz said.

The incident still is under investigation and police could not release any more details Monday afternoon.
