Paul Creps was scheduled to go to trial on Jan. 7 on four third-degree criminal sexual conduct charges. However, Washtenaw County Trial Court Judge Archie Brown agreed Wednesday to postpone the trial until Jan. 22 after meeting with his attorney, David Goldstein and Washtenaw County Assistant Prosecutor Robyn Liddell.

Creps is accused of using Facebook to find underage girls, contact them and then text message them. He then developed a sexual relationship with at least two victims, deputies said.

Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Creps on suspicion of having a sexual relationship with a girl who was under 16. After that arrest, investigators went through his phone and found many pictures of nude underage girls, deputies said.

A second girl, a 15-year-old from Ypsilanti, was located after Creps was charged in the initial case.

Creps is scheduled to be back in court for a final pretrial hearing on Jan. 9. He’s being held in the Washtenaw County Jail on a $100,000 cash bond.
