Man accused of robbing Ann Arbor Denny's, Circle K to face trial

The man accused of robbing two Ann Arbor businesses in April will be facing trial after standing mute on two charges of armed robbery Thursday, according to court records.

Jason Davis, 41, is facing life in prison after being charged with two counts of armed robbery. The charges stem from April 14 and April 15, when Davis allegedly held up a Denny’s, restaurant at 3310 Washtenaw Ave., and the Circle K gas station, 1420 E. Stadium Blvd.

Davis only got small amounts of cash during the robberies, police said. The Denny’s robbery occurred at 11;10 p.m. April 14 and the Circle K robbery took place at 3:15 a.m. April 15, police said.

Davis is scheduled to return to court for a pretrial hearing at 1:30 p.m. June 26 in front of Washtenaw County Trial Court Judge Donald Shelton, records show.

He’s currently held in the Washtenaw County Jail on a $50,000 bond.

Davis’ previous criminal history includes convictions for bank robbery in 2007, larceny in a building in 2004 and 1999 and two armed robbery convictions in 1990.
