Livonia man charged with breaking and entering in connection with $40,000 medical pot theft

Phillip Holland, a 33-year-old Livonia man, was charged on Friday with one count of breaking and entering and one count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

Holland was arrested after allegedly trying to steal $40,000 worth of medical marijuana from a Pittsfield Township grow facility. At 2:34 a.m. Thursday, Pittsfield Township police responded to an alarm in the 4800 block of Carpenter Road, which is licensed medical marijuana grow facility and discovered a break-in had occurred.

Holland was arrested as he attempted to exit the building and flee from the officers with the marijuana, according to police.
