Update: Hearing for men accused of killing Ypsilanti Township man delayed until April
Testimony in the murder case against two men is expected to go ahead Tuesday afternoon and AnnArbor.com will be covering the hearing live from the courthouse.
Avantis Parker and Willie Wimberly
Willie Wimberly, 30, and Avantis Parker, 21, are charged in the death of 28-year-old Brandon Charles, who was shot and killed in the Jan. 29 600 block of Calder Avenue in Ypsilanti Township. Charles was supposed to testify the next day against Wimberly, who allegedly shot him during a road rage incident on Jan. 1.
Testimony is expected in a preliminary exam. Both Wimberly and Parker face life in prison if convicted on murder charges.
Wimberly, of Trenton, is charged with first-degree premeditated murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree premeditated murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, being a felon in possession of a firearm and carrying a concealed weapon.
Parker, of Northville, faces charges of open murder, being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and carrying a concealed weapon.
Both men are being held in jail without bond.

I meant to add that I look forward to the posts you'll share on April 11. Maybe a little extra time in jail until then will be good for the witnesses that *allegedly* tried to obstruct.

I have to say, I love your commentary. It's probably exactly how I would describe things I was seeing. Sorry there's no video coverage but I had fun envisioning what was happening while reading your post. And one of the attorneys was involved with the Kwame Kilpatrick case? Are they sure they want him as their lawyer? lol
