Liquor stolen during break-in at Dexter Party Store

By Kyle Feldscher

Two people broke into the Dexter Party Store by breaking a window early Saturday and stole several bottles of liquor, stuffing them into duffel bags before fleeing the area.

Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office officials said Monday they responded at 2:33 a.m. Saturday to the store at 7490 W. Huron River Drive in Webster Township. The broken window immediately showed investigators how the intruders had gotten into the store.

Surveillance footage from the incident showed the men breaking the window and entering the store with their bags. They stole an unknown amount of liquor before escaping.

The suspects wore dark clothing, gloves, hooded sweatshirts and something that was covering their faces, sheriff’s officials said. It was unknown exactly what covered their faces. No other suspect information was available Monday.

Sheriff’s officials said the video from the incident is not available for release.

Anyone with information on this incident is encouraged to contact the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office anonymous tip line at 734-973-7711.
