Former University of Michigan football player Boubacar Cissoko pleads guilty to robbery charges
A 22-year-old dropped from the University of Michigan football team faces up to 45 years in prison after pleading guilty to four robbery charges.
Boubacar Cissoko entered the plea Wednesday in Washtenaw County Circuit Court.
Cissoko started Michigan's first four games at cornerback last season, was suspended for two games for violating team rules, then played in one more game before being dismissed from the team.
Cissoko remains jailed pending an Aug. 10 sentencing.

Cissoko was a 5 star recruit from Cass tech, Detroit. His original commit date was 2-4-07 for the class of 2008. He was recruited by the previous staff before RR got here. No matter, his actions are his own and he alone is responsible. Some players seriosly do not understand the oportunity to play big time college ball and neither do they gasp the responsibility on them to represent their schools in a good light. So Sad.

This guy is Ohio State material. He is slow of mind and slow of foot. I know this because he got caught! Why on earth was he recruited in the first place. Furthermore, did the coach have any thing to do with this embarrasment?

How hard can it be to avoid robbing cab drivers and delivery guys?

Cissoko's age is a bit of a question. Michigan football guides listed him as born in 1990, making him 20. Court records show a different date.

Maybe he can be furloughed for weekends in the fall? Michigan really needs help in the secondary; felon or not!

This is a sad story of a young man that had unlimited potential. Alos, he is 20 years old, not 22.

He had the world in his hands but he let it slip through his fingers.
