Deputies investigate attempted carjacking in Ypsilanti Township
A man was arrested after an attempted carjacking this morning at a gas station at Clark and Prospect roads in Ypsilanti Township, Washtenaw County sheriff's deputies said.
About 8:30 a.m., someone reported that a man approached his or her car while the victim was getting gas and attempted to get in and drive away, a sheriff's department media summary said.
The victim fought with the man and pulled him out of the car, the summary said. The man ran away, but deputies found him in the area and arrested him.

Slammin' Ypsilanti! Why don't you report when a crime is NOT committed in Ypsilanti!

This is the gas station that I use 90% of the time. It is right on the line between Ypsi Twp & Superior Twp. There is no "Slammin' Ypsilanti" going on here, and you can be sure to believe that I want to know when crime happens here!

Are you talking about yesterday at Circle K on Carpenter? I was there when an officer came in and ask the clerk if he had seen the person he was showing a picture of.
