Change machine broken into during burglary at U-M's Smith Law Library
Approximately $20 was stolen from a change machine on a copier in the Smith Law Library after a break-in sometime Sunday morning, police said.
Someone broke an exterior window and entered the library, 803 Monroe St., sometime between 2 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Sunday, according to the University of Michigan Department of Public Safety. An entrance gate to the lower level of the library was cut with bolt cutters, police said.
The change machine attached to a copy machine was forced open and about $20 was taken. No other damage or missing items were reported.
The incident is under investigation and police do not have any suspect information to release at this time.
Anyone with information on the incident is encouraged to call the U-M police at 734-763-1131.

Seems rather trivial... Reporting on $20 being lifted from a change machine at U of M.....yet No reporting on the most significant cyber attack by Iran to this day....and they used U of M College of Engineering networks as their foothold.... http://freebeacon.com/iran-strikes-back/ Seems like AnnArbor.com is not really dialed in to what is going on.

It was not trivial when you consider that they destroyed a stained glass window, destroyed a security gate, and destroyed the machine that the money was in -- "forced open" is a gross understatement.

Come on now, was this REALLY worth it? Broke a window and cut a lock for 20$ in change? Absolutely ridiculous.
