Thief swipes cash drawer from Scio Township business

By John Counts

A thief broke a glass door with a rock, then swiped the cash drawer from a Scio Township business Thursday, police said.

Deputies from the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to Value Copy in the 7100 block of Jackson Avenue after receiving reports of a burglary that had occurred Wednesday night.

After breaking a front glass door with a rock, "the suspect then stole the cash drawer from the cash register which contained a minimal amount of money," according to a press release from the Sheriff's Office.

There are no suspects at this time.
