Cash register stolen during break-in at Ann Arbor restaurant
An intruder or intruders smashed a window and stole a cash register from a Chinese restaurant in Ann Arbor late last week, police reported Monday.
Ann Arbor police Lt. Renee Bush said the Chia Shiang Restaurant reported the burglary occurred sometime between 10:55 p.m. Thursday and 10:30 a.m. Friday, when it was reported to police. The building is located at 2016 Packard Road.
A window on a door on the north side of the building was smashed and a cash register was stolen, Bush said.
The burglary was discovered when a Chia Shiang employee went to the business on Friday morning. Police had no suspect information to release Monday morning.
Anyone with information on the incident is encouraged to call the Ann Arbor police anonymous tip line at 734-794-6939 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK UP (773-2587).

More like a suspected stealing crime. I'd venture to guess the perp was after money, not caring whose it was.
