A 33-year-old Ann Arbor man was shot in the right arm with a BB fired by an unknown person Monday afternoon, police said.

Ann Arbor police Lt. Renee Bush said the man was a passenger in a van that was traveling south between 3:45 p.m. and 4 p.m. Monday in the 1200 block of Packard Street. The man reported hearing a sound like an air gun and felt a sting on his right arm, Bush said.

The BB fell into the vehicle and the man recovered it. He reported the incident to police at the station’s front desk.

No suspects were seen and nothing appeared to be unusual in the area, Bush said.

Anyone with information on this incident is encouraged to call the Ann Arbor police anonymous tip line at 734-794-6930.
