I'm working on talking to police this morning to get more information about this incident. So far, I know one person was arrested and there was one person sent to the hospital. I'll post a link to a new story when it's ready.

Has there been confirmation that the victim was a Tyrannosaurus Rex?

That is such a cute story about your son following the blood trails. He sounds like he enjoyed himself. He'll probably keep an eagle eye out for more. I hope he scraped some up for show-and-tell.

Haha, uh no, nothing for show and tell. He was looking for clues. "Mom, look! A piece of paper -- that's a clue. Someone dropped this lipstick -- another clue!" He was pretty sure we'd find a dinosaur.

My four-year-old son and I followed the blood splatter trail throughout downtown Ann Arbor this afternoon. He decided the victim was a Tyrannosaurus Rex that had been poked by a Triceratops' horn. I'm going to let him stick with his story.

I realize it is an ongoing investigation but could we at least be told if someone is in custody and if the victim and assailant were acquainted? Just like to know if this was a random attack.

Kyle, I think any time the phrase "smart phone" is used, it should be written as "smart" phone.

Also, I apologize for the accidental down vote. Clumsy fingers on the smart phone.

James, I completely agree. I'm going to be trying to find out but the sergeant I spoke to was not comfortable releasing anything else, unfortunately.
