By Lee Higgins

A 20-year-old man was hit on the head before he ran from two men who attempted to rob him this morning near the intersection of Easy Street and Packard Road, Ann Arbor police said.

The victim was walking home from a friend's house at 12:25 a.m. when two men approached, police spokeswoman Lt. Renee Bush said.

One man hit the victim on the head, while the other demanded his possessions, Bush said.

The victim didn't hand anything over and ran away, Bush said. According to Bush, the victim had a minor bump on his head.

Both attempted robbers were described as black, 5 feet, 7 inches tall and muscular, police said.
