Ann Arbor police investigate attempted burglary

By Lee Higgins

Two men attempted to break into a home Wednesday morning in the 1500 block of Washtenaw Avenue in Ann Arbor, but were scared away after a man inside yelled at them, Ann Arbor police said.

The 23-year-old victim was lying in bed at 10:30 a.m. when he heard people talking outside his window, police spokeswoman Lt. Renee Bush said.

He saw the screen sliding open and yelled, Bush said, prompting the two men to run down the driveway. A detailed description of the men was not available.

Anyone with information can call the police department's tip line at (734) 794-6939.
