Police released sketches Wednesday of a man who was found dead under an Ann Arbor apartment stairwell in May with hopes of identifying him.

A forensic artist recently completed sketches based on the man's skull, according to police. He is a white male between the ages of 40-60 years old and had a healed basal skull fracture on the left side of his head.

The man was found May 13 at an apartment building in the 500 block of South Forest Avenue and was believed to have been dead for two months.

Detectives think the man was homeless because of items found near the scene.

There was no identification found on the man.

A preliminary autopsy turned up no signs of foul play. The man is believed to have died of natural causes, according to police.

If you have any information on this individual please call the Washtenaw County Medical Examiner Office at (734) 232-1127 or Detective Michael Dortch at (734) 794-6930 ext. 49311.

Did they check with the VA? He was wearing a shirt with a Navy tag, about the right age to be a Vietnam vet with a healed scull fracture based on info in earlier posts...

The story says these sketches were based on the man's skull, which means small creatures were at his many identifiers, like his face and his eyes. All his fingertips gone is a surprise.

i hope that the local groups that serve homeless people are taking a look at this. He probably participated in some of the food programs.

I worked at Village Corner for a long time, a block away from he was found. The side profile looks a lot like an old bottle customer who used to come in multiple times a day named Dave. Everybody who worked there loved him, and I really hope it isn't him.

umm ok, so for two months, NO ONE noticed a body, or a SMELL coming from the vicinity? Was there garbage piled on top of him? Did I miss a previous article that explained this?

If you walk in back or anywhere near trash in apartment quantity at any location I am sure it would be quite foul.

His age range 40-60 yrs old he had shoulder length hair, his eye color was not recognizable otherwise it would of been posted. The sketch was based on measurements a forensic team conducted.

It would be helpful if this article had more details, for example; the height, approximate weight and the eye color of this gentleman. Also, are there any scars on his face or tattoos on his body?

The only additional information like this from the previous story is that the man is white, approximately 40-50 years old with shoulder-length, thin, graying reddish hair.

Kyle and I have continuously questioned Ann Arbor police about the 18-year-old who was found June 2 near Eisenhower Parkway and Eisenhower Place. We have been assured that once the full toxicology report is finished, the man's name and more information will be released.

Sean, It's our business because authorities found a dead body and have been using city resources for their investigation.

Hi Dave. The teen's death was ruled an accidental drowning. Here's a link to the story Kyle wrote about it in January: http://www.annarbor.com/news/trenton-teenager-nathan-tracy-accidentally-drowned-in-pittsfield-township-retention-pond/

Just like how Pittsfield Township said the kid who got in the car accident and ran off and was found a few days later dead in a pond? The report was inconclusive. We still have no idea what he was high on or what happened. Now everyone forgot about it.

Yes how sad, he has to have somebody some where that would at least like to know of his passing.

Very sad. I hope those who knew or loved him will have closure some day and know what happened. though it would be hard to hear and know.

Are they going to release a drawing of that poor young man found dead off Eisenhower/S. Industrial? His story seems to have disappeared.

DBH

Wed, Jun 26, 2013 : 5:42 p.m.

They are not likely to release a drawing, as they have identified him. Why the police have not released his name yet is unclear.
