2 from Washtenaw County arrested after gas station robbery attempt
Two Washtenaw County residents were in police custody Wednesday after an attempt to rob a gas station at a U.S.-23 exit near Whitmore Lake, according to a report on LivingstonDaily.com.
The pair - an 18-year-old man and 19-year-old woman from undisclosed towns - had attempted to rob the Mobil station on M-36, according to the report.
Police tracked the pair through the license plate of the vehicle they drove from the scene after the clerk refused to hand over money.

When you're in Whitmore Lake, it seems the out-of-town bad element is from that infamous cesspool of crime, Ann Arbor

Criminals should be careful going into more rural areas like Whitmore Lake, Hamburg , Pinckney, etc. Lot of property owners that way into Livingston County are firearm owners...

Happy to hear the couple were caught. Seems that a shirt/sweatshirt to cover the face is a new fad lately. Speedway, be ready, be prepared and aware. Great job Clerk and Police Officers!
