A two-car crash was blocking streets and tying up traffic near Ellsworth Road and State Street on the south side of Ann Arbor about 1 p.m. Thursday.

Emergency personnel had shut down Ellsworth Road between Research Park Drive and South State Street for the crash investigation, Pittsfield Township Police said in an advisory message.

Ann Arbor firefighters and Huron Valley Ambulance paramedics as well as police from Ann Arbor and Pittsfield Township had responded, a dispatcher with the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office said.

Witness reports indicated traffic was at a near standstill in the area. Further information was not immediately available.

Was an annarbor.com story written about what happened on Arlington last May 13? I saw a fire engine, ambulance, and police car all in front of a house on the east side of Arlington (I guess it's Arlington Boulevard) between Washtenaw and Overridge. The police were just arriving at the house when I drove by in the opposite direction. No lanes were closed for what ever happened that Sunday afternoon.
