The Washtenaw County sheriff's department is advising motorists to avoid the area of Stony Creek and McCrone roads in York Township for the next two to three hours because of a traffic accident.

A vehicle crash near 9333 Stony Creek has closed Stony Creek near McCrone, the sheriff's department said. The crash is near the border between York and Augusta townships.

The advisory from the sheriff's department was sent at 3:42 p.m. No further information was immediately available.
