Crashes causing long traffic backup on I-94 in Ann Arbor
Michigan State Police were dealing with several crashes on Interstate 94 on the south side of Ann Arbor Thursday morning.
State police were on their way to a rollover crash on westbound Interstate 94 near U.S. 23 about 10 a.m., a dispatcher with the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office said. It was not clear how many vehicles were involved or whether it was blocking traffic, but a Google map indicated a long backup on the freeway.
The backup appeared to be compounded by a second crash on westbound I-94 near Michigan Avenue. Google indicated slow traffic all the way from Huron Street in Ypsilanti to U.S. 23.
Police were also dealing with two crashes on eastbound I-94 near Michigan Avenue.
No further information was immediately available.
