Attorney General Mike Cox rebukes worker whose blog slams Michigan Student Assembly president
Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox today issued a statement rebuking one of his employees for verbally attacking the University of Michigan's Student Assembly president.
Cox said Andrew Shirvell showed a lack of judgment and immaturity in his actions, which attacked Christopher Armstrong for being openly gay, the Detroit Free Press is reporting.
Shirvell, an University of Michigan alumnus, has been writing an anti-Armstrong blog and has shown up at several events to protest Armstrong.

The scariest part of the story is how much access Shirvell has to information through his position in the AGs office. You can bet that someone that unhinged isn't a stickler for following the rules. An audit of his work time and what he does with it sounds in order.

Sure, when it hits the mainstream media he verbally rebukes his employee. Big surprise. This is a real black eye for "justice for all" in Michigan.

It seems to me that this says much more about Mike Cox, Attorney General--the chief law enforcement officer for the state--who employs a clearly radical political activist on his staff. In particular, one who's radicalism is so focused on constraining, attacking and abusing the individual rights and freedoms of other citizens based on his own narrow minded, essentially medieval superstition-based on mythology, shot through with ignorance, intolerance and hate.

Too far for Mike Cox? That's the real news story. The vile stream coming from Shirvell is nothing new and something Cox should have been well aware of before now.
