People came hungry to support Huron High School's Youth Impact efforts to raise funds for the Take Heart Association on Friday. The organization sends qualified surgeons to Kenya to perform open-heart surgery on children in need. Youth Impact Founder and junior Andy Hsiao coordinated an all-you-can-eat pizza fundraiser to support the cause. They aimed to raise $1,500.
"It's great to bring people of different backgrounds together for one idea," Andy said. A number of local businesses donated the pizza. Admission was $5 for students and $10 for adults.
