Closures planned on exit ramps from eastbound I-94 to U.S. 23 early Saturday morning

The Michigan Department of Transportation is planning to close the exit ramps from eastbound Interstate 94 to northbound and southbound U.S. 23 early Saturday morning.

From 4 to 7 a.m. Saturday, MDOT will be closing the ramps to do work on the cantilevered signs at the exits.

MDOT implemented a similar closure about a month ago to install new signs at the exit.

The traffic backup from the closure was a contributing factor to an accident that killed Sean Desmarais, 43, of Ann Arbor..
