Washtenaw County 4-H Youth show highlights animals, projects
For many children who participate in 4-H, this week contains the highlight of their entire summer, according to the Chelsea Update.
The Washtenaw County 4-H Youth Show at the Farm Council Grounds will be happening all day July 26 and 27, and will showcase what 4-H members have been up to throughout the year.
“It’s a week to show your animals against everyone else, see old friends and make money,” 16-year-old Grant Bater told the Chelsea Update.
The event features animals and still projects from 4-H youth members, and also hosts contests for participants such as a chocolate chip cookie contest and a cupcake. Youths took home certificates for best presentation, judge’s choice, and best tasting.
The event takes place at 5055 Ann Arbor-Saline Road and is open to the public. Parking and admission are all free.

Too bad A2.com could not have reported this in a more timely manner. It's a bummer to read about it after it's too late to plan to go.

Since we lost the State Fair, I have been trying to attend local county and organizational Fairs but get NO prior info! On the few that are reported-on it is in the middle of the event. Perhaps scheduling awareness of local events could be more of a priority?
