Dexter resident and former firefighter John Loudermilk, 40, shakes hands with runners after he completed the half marathon wearing full gear and an oxygen tank with a time of 2:29:33 Sunday morning at the Dexter-Ann Arbor run. Loudermilk has been looking for a new job but has been rejected by several departments because he is "too old," he said. "I did this as a sort of statement, but also to raise money for the fallen firefighters foundation," Loudermilk said.
