Bill Ford Jr. endorses Ann Arbor’s Rick Snyder for governor
Ann Arbor businessman Rick Snyder and Bill Ford, Jr. appeared on WJR’s Paul W. Smith show this morning where the Ford Motor Co. executive chairman announced his endorsement of Snyder, a Republican candidate in Michigan’s gubernatorial race.
“We’ve got some major, major challenges, and it’s going to require a remarkable person to meet those challenges and get us going,” Ford told Smith.
He also said he’ll be joining Snyder’s campaign as a Senior Counselor, and put aside Smith’s question about whether he might be considering running for Michigan’s Lt. Governor seat.
“I think I’ve got my hands full with my day job,” he said.

If he's Republican like Ron Paul he might have many supporters here.

This is a very nice endorsement for Snyder, however he will need many more high-profile endorsements such as this one in order to have a chance at winning the nomination. This state needs to elect a political outsider capable of making the necessary difficult decisions to restore prosperity. Although the people of Ann Arbor likely are apprehensive about the idea of supporting a Republican, I believe it would be a very wise decision for the future of this city and state to elect this man as our next Governor.

Is Snyder attempting to run as a Republican or a Democrat?
