Man stole purse from 82-year-old woman, Pittsfield Township police say

A 28-year-old man was arrested this morning after Pittsfield Township police say he snatched a purse from an 82-year-old woman Sunday afternoon.
The man was arrested about 11 a.m. in front of the apartment building where he lives in the 3000 block of Carpenter Road, police said.
Police say he stole the woman's purse about 1:44 p.m. as she was getting into her car in front of Jo-Ann Fabrics in the 3700 block of Carpenter Road. The victim suffered some minor scrapes.
Investigators recovered the stolen property, a police news release said.

Good job! Put the dirty scoundrel in jail and hopefully he will learn his lesson! Coward! I have been flat out broke and homeless and never lowered myself to this type of activity.

Only a sniveling little punk would rob anyone of that age. Hope the "alleged" perp gets to have the someone in jail, [who has an 82 year old mother] explain the consequences to his actions....

I am the victim's daughter. A heartfelt thanks to those of you that got involved and the great job that Pittsfield PD did. None of this would have been resolved had it not been for you.

What a punk. Has to resort to stealing an older females purse. I hope he gets community service and has to serve it helping the elderly.
