Approaching blizzard cancels classes Wednesday at Washtenaw County schools
Washtenaw County's public and private schools are announcing closures Wednesday as a winter storm approaches, threatening to dump as much as a foot of snow on the area.
The University of Michigan intends to keep its Ann Arbor campus open Wednesday, but Eastern Michigan University and Washtenaw Community College closed at 5 p.m. today and won't reopen until Thursday morning.

it would be funny if the storm doesn't hit just like a couple years ago when there was an early snow day announced but almost no snow

Every year, when we have a storm and get massive school closings, I wonder why the news media doesn't just print the names of the, say, 4 schools that are actually open instead of posting the names of the hundreds that are closed. It'd be much easier and more expedient.

Now this is why Michigan is the Winter Wonderland.........Southern MI seems to have gotten soft as the falling snow.
