There is a carnival that is opening tonight I think off Whittaker Road and I 94. Right where the old car lot use to be. You can see it off the highway. Not sure if it is part of Wades or not. Check it out. I know we will.

I have to wonder - does the School District get anything for the use of Pioneer from the carnival?

The school district charges any group who uses this lot a fee. I think it's like $500 or $1,000/day.

Anybody know who will be providing the Carnival now that the Jaycee's cut their ties with Wade Shows? Last year it was McDonagh's which no longer has shows in Michigan either. With the change of companies, the ride choices have been poor at best. I have been frequenting these carnivals for the better part of 40+ yrs and have been extremely disappointed lately. For $20, there had better be some worthwhile rides!

one year the biggest ride was the "Pharoah" swinging boat ride. They used to have the double ferris wheel, fireball. & more thrill rides adults cab enjoy.

I thought the rides were pretty "Carnivaly". What rides are you looking for that are missing?
