Ann Arbor police have released a missing person poster in an effort to find 60-year-old Herbert Richard Harmsen, who was last seen Wednesday.

Harmen is depressed and suffers from post traumatic stress disorder, police said.

He was driving a green 2003 Ford Focus with the Michigan license plate CJC3188. Harmsen is about 5'10" and 180 pounds.

If you have any information, contact Det. Stanford at 734-323-2628, call the tip line at 734-794-6939 or call 911.

It would help to know WHERE he was last seen, not just what kind of car he was driving.

I'll keep my eyes open, but does saying that he has PTSD make him easier to find?

Fair enough. It just seemed like a strange headline for a missing person report.

It doesn't make him easier to find but knowing he suffers from PTSD can help you approach him in the correct manner if you do find this gentleman. Having some experience with a dear friend who suffered PTSD, I know that a person can be experiencing severe flashback delusions, not really understand where they are, be very frightened, and not realize that you are trying to help. They may run from you, or fear that you are attacking them. The best thing to do, of course, if you find Mr. Harmsen and he isn't responsive to cautious approaches, is to call 911 and ask for trained help. I hope he is found and is home safe and sound very soon.
