Ann Arbor Mini Maker Faire shows off DIY moxie and fun stuff
A giant Simon game, DIY satellite and a computerized jukebox are just some of the exhibits you'll find in the Third Annual Ann Arbor "Mini" Maker Faire.
Based on MAKE Magazine’s Maker Faire outside San Francisco, the smaller Ann Arbor version is a daylong festival of do-it-yourself activities for adults and kids alike.

The Ann Arbor Mini Maker Faire aims to "present interesting or unique exhibits, individuals, and demonstrations in DIY science, technology, engineering, and art that excite, motivate, and educate, the organization says on its website. The fair is organized by a2geeks (http://www.a2geeks.org).
Visitors this year can make their own comics as well as see silkscreening, a vortex cannon, robots, amateur radio, sustainable technology, machine vision and an exhibit on learning to solder.

This was a very fun event last year. I can only recommend it. Great for little geeks too.
