I haven't seen anything on the "vandalism" at the Big House last weekend, except for the report in the Detroit Newspapers. Was there anything on this blog about it?

And why wouldn't the criminals consider it rich pickings there when they know that the population is both defenseless and not liable to fight anyway?

It is interesting how most of the crimes are centered squarely around UM student housing and the main campus. Perhaps U of M has a greater number of reports based on greater numbers of calls? Also, I'd be curious to find out how many of these reported crimes are student on student or criminal on student crimes? I bet a majority of these crimes are shopping sprees committed by residence living in Ypsilanti and Detroit. The U of M campus is a bit like a Stop and Rob to these folks.

Well, it's because they have the Michigan state police, WSU police force and the Detroit police all around WSU.

I love how U-M stats are worse than Wayne State, in downtown Detroit. http://police.wayne.edu/crime_stats.php. Seriously. What's the deal?
