Right track, wrong train. There are many commentors who decry the need for self defense here in Ann Arbor yet who are very anxious of the the proposed cuts in emergency services. Not sure how they can have it both ways. Either Ann Arbor is a crime free utopia and therefore we can absorb the cuts to police OR self defense/preservation is not such a silly thought and we cannot afford to cut police, correct? You are certainly correct that NO ONE including the police and certainly not me can forsee the future therfore one needs to be responsible for one's own safety FIRST and always. There was no blaming the victims anywhere in my comment, where did you get that from? If anything all of my comments are made in the hope of preventing future victims.

So what are you saying. Those victims were being unsafe, and caused their own victimization? Or maybe if they studied the crime map, they these things wouldn't have happened to them? You police actually catch people in the act, or just prior to committing crimes. Not quit sure what you're implying with your statement, unless your some superhero that can predict when crime is afoot. Let us know your secret.

Home invasion, strong arm robbery, assault and sexual assault???!?!? Clearly this must be wrong, certainly this can't be happenning here in utopian Ann Arbor! Guess there must not be enough police out on patrols or these could not have possibly happenned, right? NOT...Only YOU can be responsible for YOUR safety everywhere YOU are all the time. Learn it, live it and be safer for it.
