The temperature in Ann Arbor just before 1 p.m. was 95, but the heat index made it feel like 101. Forecasts say the real temperature could climb to 102.
The area remains under an excessive heat warning until 8 p.m. Saturday. It could feel as hot as 110 later today and Saturday.
People are urged to take extra precautions due to the heat:
- Reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening.
- Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
- Wear light-weight and loose-fitting clothing when possible.
- Drink plenty of water.

In Ypsi if the event could not be moved indoors? It too was cancelled. We ended up going home. Guess we will wait until September when things cool down again.
