Ann Arbor Art Fair week forecast: Temperatures near 100 Tuesday, then cooler
If it’s Ann Arbor Art Fair week, it’s sure to be hot, and it’s likely to rain.
At least that’s the conventional wisdom, and last year’s fair certainly lived up to the heat part with temperatures topping out near 100 degrees. The previous year, storms forced an early closure for some artists one day.

So what’s the outlook for this week? Not too bad for the Art Fair itself, though the days leading up to it promise to be stifling.
This afternoon, the thermometer is expected to climb to 95, and Tuesday looks to be even hotter with a high of 99 expected, the National Weather Service says. Tuesday night will bring a chance of showers and thunderstorms with a low of about 73. The chance of rain is 40 percent.
As the Art Fair gets under way Wednesday, the threat of rain will continue but temperatures will cool a bit with a high of 89 predicted. The chance for precipitation will again be 40 percent.
The rest of the week looks almost pleasant with highs in the low 80s expected Thursday and Friday under mostly sunny skies. Saturday will be a bit warmer with a high of 86 expected as the Art Fair wraps up.
Temperatures are expected to climb back to around 90 by Sunday.
