AATA routes experiencing 10-minute delays tonight due to accident-induced traffic
Most Ann Arbor Transportation Authority bus routes are experiencing delays of 10 minutes or more Monday night due to traffic, according to a statement issued by the authority at 6:35 p.m. Monday.
Minor accidents at four major intersections between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. Monday in Ann Arbor have caused traffic congestion on major roads in the area.
There are collisions at US-23 and Carpenter Road; Main Street and Huron Avenue; Washtenaw Avenue and Huron Parkway; and Washtenaw Avenue and Platt Road, according to Washtenaw County Central Dispatch.
In addition, several detours also are in effect from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday night for the following AATA bus lines because of the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry event in downtown Ann Arbor: Routes 1, 2 and 6 all have missed stops.
