Cold weather ahead, but no more snow until at least the weekend

Despite much of Washtenaw County waking up to a dusting of snow Sunday, it might be a while before you need to break out the snow shovel or get to take the kids sledding.

"You're certainly going to be cold enough for it for the next four days… but for the most part, there's a potential for a storm late in the week that could bring rain or snow in the region, which would be Friday or Saturday. But until then, no. Very calm weather this week," said Mike Pigott, senior meteorologist with AccuWeather.

Ann Arbor saw .3 inches of snow overnight, with trace amounts to the south and west, according to the National Weather Service.

This week ahead should bring partly sunny skies and cold, with temperatures in the mid or upper 30s and nighttime lows near 20, Pigott said. The wind could make it feel like 25 degrees on Monday and as low as 19 on Wednesday.
