Updated: 3,600 without power in central Ann Arbor
At least 3,600 DTE Energy customers in central Ann Arbor were without power Friday night after reports that a transformer went out near Platt Road.
A DTE outage map showed that customers affected were mostly along Washtenaw and Packard, including the Ann Arbor Hills neighborhood and homes near Independence Boulevard and Burns Park.
At least two traffic signals were out for a time on Friday: One on Platt Road near Huron Parkway and one on Packard near Stone School. Ann Arbor Police reported traffic slowdowns near Washtenaw and Huron Parkway.
The power was expected to be restored by 10:30 p.m., according to DTE estimates.
The outage map showed that power was restored by Saturday morning. Further information was not available.
