Michigan punter Will Hagerup remains suspended
Coach Brady Hoke didn't elaborate on the issue, but did say it "maybe" will last through camp.
Hagerup, along with cornerback J.T. Floyd and linebacker Brandin Hawthorne, was suspended for the Outback Bowl matchup against South Carolina due to an undisclosed violation of team rules.
Floyd and Hawthorne are out of eligibility, but Hagerup returns for his senior season -- although, it's not yet clear when or if that season will begin for him. Hoke has declined questions about a possible return, or what reinstatement entails.
Hagerup has been suspended three times in three seasons, costing him six games. He missed the Ohio State game as a freshman in 2010, the first four games of the 2011 season and the Outback Bowl last season.
Each suspension was for an undisclosed violation of team rules.
Hagerup led the country in punting for much of last season before finishing 11th at 45.0 yards per attempt. That led the Big Ten.
Junior Matt Wile punted for Hagerup in the Outback Bowl, averaging 48.0 yards per attempt with a long of 56. He will be Michigan's top punter until Hagerup returns.
