5-star prospect Devin Booker will take unofficial visit to Michigan for Indiana game
And Michigan is on the list.
Booker, a 6-foot-3 5-star shooting guard from Moss Point (Miss.) High School, tweeted Tuesday that he'll take an unofficial trip to watch Michigan host Indiana on March 10.
Originally from Grandville, Mich., Booker was one of John Beilein's first 2014 offers this past summer. And, recently, Beilein and assistants Bacari Alexander and LaVall Jordan all made a trip to Mississippi to watch him play.
During that game, Booker went for 34 points.
In addition to the Michigan visit, Booker will also take unofficial trips to North Carolina (Feb. 23), Duke (Feb. 24), Florida (March 2) and Michigan State (March 7).
Booker is the third-best shooting guard prospect in the 2014 class, according to Scout.com, and the No. 12 prospect overall.
The son of former Missouri All-American Melvin Booker, the coveted shooting guard averaged 29.7 points per game this past season -- and went for a season-high 49 points during one contest.
"This go-round will be unofficial visits," Booker told GulfLive.com on Tuesday. "I'll see which ones I like and then at the end of the summer, I'll start cutting them down and see what my official visits will be."
Booker has already taken an unofficial visit to Michigan, and according to GulfLive, he's also had an unofficial visit to East Lansing as well.
2014 recruits can officially sign letters of intent in November.
Presently, Michigan's only commit for the 2014 class is three-star wing Austin Hatch, who reclassified from 2013 after being involved in a tragic 2011 plane crash.
