Michigan's Tim Hardaway Jr. wins B1G Player of the Week, the teams's 9th award in 11 weeks
The Michigan basketball Big Ten award train rolls on.
Michigan junior guard Tim Hardaway Jr. was named the Big Ten's Player of the Week by the conference office Monday, giving the Wolverines nine weekly awards in 11 weeks this season -- easily the most of any team in the conference.
The honor marks the second of the season for Hardaway, and the third of his career.
He was given the honor for his 21-point, 5-rebound, 3-assist, 3-stea, 2-block showing in Michigan's 83-75 road win over Minnesota on Thursday.
Against the Golden Gophers, Hardaway went 7 of 8 from the floor, 4 of 5 from behind the 3-point line. He scored 18 of his 21 points in the first half as Michigan earned a win over a top 10 team on the road for the first time since 1996.
