ANN ARBOR -- Michigan hasn't exactly had historical trouble in Big Ten openers.
Since 1982, Michigan is 29-1 in conference-opening games, and has won six straight since dropping a game at Wisconsin in 2005.
The Wolverines (2-2) will open their 2012 Big Ten schedule Saturday at Purdue (4 p.m., Big Ten Network. The Boilermakers (3-1) seem to have their best team of the Danny Hope era, and have been picked by many as a surprised team to watch this season in league play.
Michigan, meanwhile, is looking to shake off its disappointing performance at Notre Dame two weeks ago and find a way to get Denard Robinson back on track.
MLive.com Wolverines writers Kyle Meinke and Nick Baumgardner discuss this weekend's matchup.
