Stephen Hopkins, Marvin Robinson among Michigan players left home for Notre Dame game
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Michigan will be without Stephen Hopkins after all.
Coach Brady Hoke said earlier this week the starting fullback likely would suit up for Saturday night's tilt against No. 11 Notre Dame, but Hopkins ended up not making the trip to South Bend.
Hopkins sat our last week's win against UMass with a hamstring injury, and redshirt freshman walk-on Joe Kerridge started for him.
Other Michigan starters who will miss the game include cornerback Blake Countess (ACL, out for season) and tight end Brandon Moore (MCL, week-to-week). Reserve safety Marvin Robinson also was left home with an undisclosed injury.
Michigan did get back one starter in weak-side linebacker Desmond Morgan (head) and one reserve in defensive lineman Richard Ash (undisclosed).
