Michigan drops out of AP poll for first time in more than a year
ANN ARBOR -- The first time Michigan entered the Associated Press and coaches polls under Brady Hoke came two weeks after the Wolverines' win last year against Notre Dame.
And it stayed there, until a loss to that same team.
The Wolverines' ugly 13-6 loss Saturday against Notre Dame has dropped them out of the AP and coaches polls for the first time since Sept. 11, 2011.
They began this season at No. 8, but have plummeted after a 2-2 start. They have lost to No. 1 Alabama and No. 10 Notre Dame, and beaten Air Force and UMass.
