Photos: Michigan basketball offers Crisler Center renovation update
The Michigan basketball program, via its official Facebook page, offered yet another photo update on the second phase of the arena's renovation process.
Construction crews are presently in the midst of laying the new Crisler Center floor, and are also putting the finishing touches on the new arena concourses.
The new concourses, which feature the words to "The Victors" etched along the floor, will feature newly-renovated concession stands and a new "M Den" apparel outlet.
In addition, the new student entrance will be feature solid maize paint, with a block 'M' logo on the floor. Michigan is also finalizing the finishing touches to its new loge boxes inside the arena's concourse.
Also, updates to the Wolverines' locker room will feature refurbished wood from the old Crisler Arena court, while the new "Blavin Tunnel" has been updated with an official University of Michigan seal near the arena's entryway.
After completing the initial renovation prior to last season, which included the new William Davidson Player Development Center, Michigan is currently in the process of finishing the second phase of renovations.
This run of construction will give the building an additional $52 million facelift.
All construction is expected to be concluded in time for the Wolverines to open the 2012-13 season.
