The Michigan football team has taken a massive hit in personnel along its lines. Its starting tailback may or may not be available. Its facing the defending national champs.

It's game week.

The Wolverines, of course, have a lot going for them as well heading into Saturday's opener against No. 2 Alabama (8 p.m., ABC). But the concerns are magnified heading into a game such as this.
